Since it was founded in 1956, Qiryat Eliezer, the home stadium of Maccabi Haifa, could be seen as the "Mecca" of Israeli football. During these years the stadium has hosted an unforgettable amount of exciting moments in Israeli football history and has become the undisputed fortress of the "Greens".

Each piece of grass at the stadium field can tell a story about the legendary players that had charmed every minute there in the last 5 decades. On May 26th, 1984, Maccabi celebrated in Qiryat Eliezer its first championship ever (a win 1:0 over Maccabi Ramat Amidar at the last match of the season) and a new era had begun in the history of the club, the city and the stadium, an era of tremendous success and magical moments.

The stadium, which is located in Qiryat Eliezer, a neighborhood at the southern entrance of Haifa, has a current capacity of 14,002 seats. At every home match there are thousands of Maccabi fans attending to watch their favorite team, and they definitely enjoy every minute of it. Maccabi, the most exciting team in Israeli football, is the best show in town, and this is what makes the Qiryat Eliezer stadium the hottest place in Haifa.
